The allegorical tale of the victory of Prahlad, a devotee of Lord Vishnu, over his evil aunt Holika symbolises the triumph of good over evil. It is a time to come together with family and friends to celebrate the essence of Holi and seek blessings from the divine.

One of the most joyous rituals of Holi is the distribution of sweets among friends, family, and neighbours. This ritual is known as “mithai bhandar” and is an integral part of the festival.
