Saina and Prannoy test positive for Covid 19

Indian shuttlers Saina Nehwal and HS Prannoy testes Covid-19 positive upon reaching Bangkok. It is being told that Saina Nehwal had already withdrawn from the tournament, but her husband Parupalli Kashyap was forced to withdraw from the event.  Parupalli Kashyap was scheduled to play in Jason Anthony Ho-shu of Canada on Tuesday. 

Although they were found to be negative in this trial of Covid-19, they have been quarantined in a Bangkok hospital. No report has been given to the Indian team yet. The information has just been shared verbally.

As per the local quarantine practice, HS Prannoy and Saina Nehwal have been hospitalized for 10 days as per Thailand rules.

Apart from Saina Nehwal and HS Prannoy, all Indian players have got permission to participate in the tournament. Several other Indian players are participating in the ongoing Thailand Open.  PV Sindhu, Sai Praneeth, Kidambi Srikanth and others will be in action in the tournament.
