New Chief Minister of Uttarakhand Tirath Singh Rawat prepared his cabinet

Uttarakhand’s new Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat extended his cabinet on Friday. In a simple ceremony held at Raj Bhavan, Governor Baby Rani Maurya administered the oath of office to 11 MLAs. Tirath Singh Rawat was sworn in alone on 10 March. Except the new state BJP president Madan Kaushik, all the MLAs who were ministers during the tenure of former CM Trivendra Singh Rawat have been re-appointed ministers. 4 new faces have also been included in the Council of Ministers of Tirath Rawat. Of the 11 ministers, 8 have been given independent charge of the cabinet and 3 have independent charge of the ministers of state. Trivendra Singh Rawat resigned as Chief Minister on Tuesday amidst political turmoil. He was sworn in as the new Chief Minister by Gauthi-Garhwal MP Tirath Singh Rawat. A political meeting in Delhi continued on Thursday for the formation of a new cabinet. State in-charge Dushyant Gautam met BJP organization minister BL Santosh over the names of the ministers. The meeting lasted for 40 minutes, in which the names of the new ministers were discussed.
