Experience the Splendour of the Surajkund International Crafts Mela 2023

Surajkund International Crafts Mela

The Haryana Tourism Corporation organises Surajkund International Crafts Mela to promote the craftsmanship, talent, and cultural heritage of local artisans worldwide. It aims to create an environment for the mela audience to view and purchase rural handicrafts from villages that otherwise they may not have the opportunity to visit. It also encourages the export of local handlooms and handicrafts.

Surajkund is an ancient reservoir situated in the backdrop of the Aravalli range in Faridabad, Haryana (India), with an amphitheatre-shaped embankment constructed in a semi-circular form. It is most famously known for its annual fair, called the Surajkund International Craft Mela.

It is typically held in February every year for 15 days and attracts artisans, tourists, and communities from all over India and abroad. This year the Surajkund International Crafts Mela will be celebrating its 36th year.
