Bueng Boraphet

Thailand’s Bueng Boraphet, its largest freshwater swamp, spreads 200 square kilometres in Nakhon Sawan’s Muang district. For its gigantic area coverage, it earned the moniker of “Northern Sea” or “Great Lake”. Among the many species that Bueng Boraphet is home to, some near-threatened species, like the marsh grassbirds and the white-eyed river martin, also find solace here.
