The Great Indian Diwali Festival 2021 at ICONSIAM Thailand

Like India, the Festival of Lights is also recognized in the Land of Smiles. This year, Indian-Thai communities and Indian expats supported by the Tourism Authority of Thailand organized a Diwali Fair not just to celebrate the festivity but to also promote India’s rich culture. The grand opening of The Great Indian Diwali Festival 2021 was held on 5th November at ICONSIAM, Bangkok, Thailand, and ended today, 7th November 2021.

The three-day event was enthusiastically participated by a large number of tourists and locals alike. During the opening of the event, many Indian and Thai dignitaries were present to give support and give opening festival speech including H.E. Suchitra Durai, Ambassador of India to Thailand, Khunying Sudarat Kyuraphan, Former Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives of Thailand, Chairwoman, Thai Sang Thai Party, Mr. Poramet Ngampichet, Vice Minister of Culture, and Ms. Thapanee Kiatphaibool, Deputy Governor for Domestic Marketing at Tourism Authority of Thailand.

Lord Ganesh Aarti was organized by VHP Thailand, after which the host of the event welcomed the guests.

A variety of exciting food stalls where you can indulge yourself with Indian dishes and colorful booths showcasing traditional crafts, decorations, clothes, and many more were also set up in this event. It is also worth mentioning the exceptional cultural shows and performances that significantly exceed expectations.
