Pushkar Singh Dhami Elected As Chief Minister of Uttarakhand

Pushkar Singh Dhami will be the next Chief Minister of Uttarakhand. This decision was taken in the meeting of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s legislature party. Dhami’s name was stamped in the legislature party meeting held in Dehradun. This meeting took place from 3 o’clock in the presence of central supervisor Narendra Tomar and state in-charge Dushyant Kumar Gautam. Dhami will be the 11th CM of the Indian state, Uttarakhand. This time the BJP has given attention to the young face, bypassing all the experienced MLAs. He will take oath as the Chief Minister tomorrow.

Pushkar Singh Dhami is a young leader and at present he is handling the responsibility of Uttarakhand State President of BJP. Dhami was born in Tundi village of Pithoragarh. Dhami has become MLA for the second time this time from Khatima assembly constituency of Udham Singh Nagar.

Dhami is considered very close to Bhagat Singh Koshyari. Pushkar Singh Dhami is a leader of RSS background. In the early phase of politics, he has held many important positions in ABVP. Dhami has been the state president of BJP Yuva Morcha twice.

The name of Pushkar Singh Dhami was announced by former Uttarakhand CM Tirath Singh Rawat himself. After being elected the leader of Uttarakhand BJP Legislature Party, Pushkar Singh Dhami said, “My party has given an opportunity to serve an ordinary worker. We will work on public issues with everyone’s cooperation.

On getting the CM post, he said, “I would like to thank PM Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, party president JP Nadda and everyone.” On the question of winning the party in the elections, he said that there is a challenge and accepts the challenge.

It is noteworthy that late Friday night Tirath Singh Rawat submitted his resignation to the Governor. He had earlier offered his resignation by writing a letter to BJP President JP Nadda. He spoke of resigning from the post of CM citing constitutional obligation.
