Since 1984, The Lions Club of Bangkok, Silom 310-D has been true to its vision and mission statement. They have become the global leaders and empowered volunteers to serve their communities, meet humanitarian needs, encourage peace, and promote international understanding through Lions Club’s various cultural exchange activities, charity drives, and community services that help families and children who are in need.
Lions Club of Bangkok, Silom 310-D has yet again unleashed another milestone in their journey and proved themselves best, as out of 400 clubs nationwide and among 6 Districts, Lions International Council Consolidated Region 310 of Thailand in collaboration with Lions Foundation Thailand recognized and awarded Lions Club of Bangkok, Silom 310-D the 1st Outstanding Club Activities Award — ‘Best Club Activities’ in Thailand for the year 2020-21 under the leadership of President Lion Aakriti Sultania. The award ceremony was held today Thursday, 16th September 2021 at Lions Club International Head Office, District 310, Sukhumvit Soi 64, Bangkok.
Lions Club Council, District Governors, and other dignitaries from District 310 A1, A2, B, C, D, and E attended the ceremony and presented this prestigious award to Lion Aakriti Sultania, President of Lions Club of Bangkok, Silom 310-D (2020-21). Immediate Past President Lion Pawan Mishra and Lion Sunish Sultania were also present at the award ceremony to celebrate this joyous moment alongside the President.
“I was elated and overjoyed when they announced our club’s name to receive this award amongst all the 6 districts in Thailand, comprising of around 400 Lions Clubs” Lion President Aakriti Sultania humbly stated when Indo Thai News asked her what she felt and thought while receiving the award during our interview.
“It is a feeling beyond and above anything else and is a moment to be treasured forever.” She added, “And it is truly overwhelming to receive this prestigious award and be recognized for the humanitarian activities we were able to organize even during the extremely challenging and unprecedented times of ongoing pandemic during 2020-21. This award is a pride and honour for our amazing and dedicated team at the Lions Club of Bangkok, Silom 310D and the credit goes to them. I would also like to mention our heartfelt gratitude towards our District Governors Lion Suchittra Searmboonpaisal (2020-21) and Lion Tanakorn Ngow (2021-22) for their tremendous support and guidance to our club.”
This is a moment that all club members of the Lions Club of Bangkok, Silom 310-D will cherish for a long time and this award will enhance their enthusiasm and lift their spirit manyfold to continue with such noble activities, charities, and supporting humanity.
