Journalist Pushpendra Kulshrestha was bornon December 2, in New Delhi, India. His father did the food business while his mother managed her house as a homemaker.
Journey into Journalism
Choosing journalism was a conscious decision. Born and brought up in Aligarh and later studied in Aligarh University. He believed that through Journalism one can express his/her views.
Initially worked in a weekly newspaper for 3-4 years. Then for few years worked as freelancer and later for many popular News Channels. His last job was with a Pakistani News Channel. Since he was working for the channel, he visited Pakistan many times. During his travel to Pakistan he realized the history of stiff between the two countries.
He likewise holds the record for the longest serving general secretary of the Press Club of India with a three-time residency. He was chosen as the leader of India’s media people club, and was reestablished regardless of lawful resistance. During his time at the Press Club of India, he contradicted measures taken by the then UPA government to control media opportunity.
He battled against the disputable Article 35A and Article 370 of the Indian Constitution. He established an NGO called “We the Citizens”. He alongside Sandeep Kulkarni documented a PIL in the Supreme Court of India scrutinizing the lawfulness of Article 35A and Article 370 in the Supreme Court of India. In August 2019, Article 370 was abrogated by the Government of India.
In 2016 he resigned from his job and since then has been speaking on sensitive communal issues.
His Opinion
Today, electronic media have damaged journalism and has become a PR business. Earlier the information flow was one sided. Very less sources of media and broadcasting.
Pushpendra revealed many details connected to the Jammu & Kashmir present situations. He also attacked the Congress party regarding article 370 and 35A. These articles are hampering the development of the Kashmir region. He made a series of many viral YouTube videos. He has also organized events in different Indian cities. He targeted on the new term Hindu terrorism.
Pushpendra mainly targeted on the Muslim people on the terror activities. Moreover, he was also sad regarding terror attacks and poor settlement in India.
