Indian Railways raises platform ticket price to Rs 50 at key Mumbai stations

A total of 10 railway stations, including Mumbai, will get 10 not 50 rupees. Tickets will get platform tickets at around 7 railway stations, including 10 rupees. Central Railway has increased five times the ticket prices at these stations. The stations which have increased the price of the platform ticket include Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CST), Dadar and Lokmanya Tilak Terminus. According to the railway, this decision has been taken in view of the increasing number of Corona infected. Due to expensive tickets, less people will reach the station. Plan is also being prepared for the summer season so that fewer people come to the station. Platform tickets have also been 50 rupees at Mumbai’s outer stations like Thane, Kalyan, Panvel and Bhiwandi Road Stations. Central Railway’s Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) Shivaji Sutar said – new rates of platform tickets have been implemented from February 24. This rate will continue till June 15. From the second week of February in Mumbai, the number of Corona infected is increasing.
