Government will declare 136 people dead in Uttarakhand disaster

Tuesday is the 17th day of the Uttarakhand disaster. The bodies of 70 people and 29 human organs have been found so far. 136 people are missing. Now the state government is preparing to declare all these missing people dead. Order for this will be issued soon. If this happens, the number of people who lost their lives in this disaster may increase to 206. According to the state government, continuous search is going on in Chamoli and surrounding areas. The bodies of a large number of people have been recovered, while some were also rescued. Despite this, people who are yet to get any information, will now be declared dead. At the same time, there is still a big threat from the artificial lake created by the breaking of the glacier above the Rishiganga river near Raini village in Chamoli. Due to the small mouth of the lake, the flow of water was slowing down. Due to this, the lake was in danger of breaking. ITBP personnel have widened the mouth of the lake by about 15 feet. Due to the accumulation of water here, pressure was building. Navneet Bhullar, Commandant of the State Disaster Response Team (SDRF), says that work is on to widen the mouth of the lake.
