Bangkok Reaches 70% Of Its Population Being Fully Vaccinated

Seventy percent of the residents of Thailand’s Bangkok CIty, which is equivalent to 5.43 million people have by now obtained their second dose of the corona virus disease 2019 vaccine.

According to Deputy Governor Sophon Phisutthiwong of Bangkok CIty, on Tuesday, October 19, 2021, Bangkok City is set to again unlock its boundaries to foreign tourists who had received their complete doses of the Covid-19 vaccines under the supervision of the Thai government’s regulations.

Based on the statements of Police Lieutenant General Sophon at a meeting with the Bangkok Metropolitan administration’s (BMA) Centre for Covid-19 SItuation Administration through a teleconference, Bangkok had recorded 1,037 new Covid-19 cases along with 10 new deaths on Tuesday, in which 812 where living in Bangkok while the other 225 had homes in other provinces although acquired treatment at hospitals in Bangkok.

As of October 18 a tpta;l pf 8.13 million people in Thailand’s capital city have got their first dose of the Covid-19 vaccines while 5.43 million or 70.663% had received the second doses of shots so far.

Moreover, the Bangkok authorities are anticipating that the city will reach 80% of its residents to be vaccinated against the viral disease by October 30, this year.
