Ban on Construction Work Till Further Orders in Delhi

In order to get rid of the problem of pollution in the capital Delhi, Environment Minister Gopal Rai held a meeting with all the departments and MCDs, in which efforts to curb air pollution were discussed. Major decisions have been taken in the review meeting held with the departments.

The construction has been banned till further instructions. However, there is no bar on plumbing, electrical and interior decoration. All this is being done to stop the dust.

The trucks which bring the same to Delhi will be banned till December 7. However, trucks carrying essential commodities, electric and CNG-run trucks can come.

The third phase of Red Light On Gaadi Off has now been extended from December 3 to December 18.

The laborers who are involved in construction will be given ₹ 5000 from the government.

From 14 Major Colonies where the Delhi Government flats are located, from 8:30 am, the bus will run for the Secretariat, Which will drop the Delhi government personnel back in the colonies in the evening.

In these colonies, bus service was started in 14 colonies like Gulabi Bagh, Mayur Vihar Phase-2, Motia Khan, Timarpur, Hari Nagar, Nimdi Colony, Ashok Vihar, Vikaspuri, Vasant Kunj, Karkardooma etc.

Checking of PUC will continue.

18 lakh PUC certificates were issued in October-November. 8480 site visits were done to prevent open burning. Regarding open burning. Violation was found in 1000 of these places.
